Summary: Emu does not collect any data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party SDK. Everything stays on your device.

What stays on your device

Game files you import, which are kept in the app’s Games folder (visible in the Files app).
Save states and their screenshots, in-game saves, play time and your favorites.
Your settings.

None of this is sent to us or to anyone else. It is removed when you delete a game in the app or delete the app. If your device backs up to iCloud or a computer, this data is included in that backup like other app data, under Apple’s terms.

Network connections

Emu makes no network connections of its own. Links in the app to this website or to the source code open in your browser only when you tap them.

Permissions

Files: Emu uses the system file picker, so it can only read the files you choose to import.

Children

Emu does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
